Military Service Recognition

Military Service Recognition Books

As some of you may already be aware, Ontario Provincial Command of the Royal Canadian Legion is in the process of compiling “Military Service Recognition Books”. As the name suggests, the books are meant to identify and recognize the men and women who have served their country in the military. Applications are available along with instructions at any Branch of the Legion.

I have submitted several applications thus far and although quite a few applications have been picked up at our Branch, few have been returned. A short history of your service and a very brief outline of your personal life before and after Military service should be included with your application. Example: when and where you were born, when and where you served, etc).

Please be aware that all information on the application form is the responsibility of the applicant.

I will continue to make submissions to Provincial Command until the cut-off date (May) as outlined in the correspondence received from Command. However, submissions should be made at your earliest opportunity to allow time for me to process them before the deadline.

On-line application is available as well.
